The Process

  • The first step to a successful portrait sessions is getting together to discuss your portrait requirements and dreams. This need not take much of your time, we can discuss what style of photographs you like, what our studio has to offer and the process we need to go through to get the portraits you want. I believe in working closely together for the best results and upon booking you will also receive a comprehensive welcome packet that will help with this preparation for your session.

  • The next step in the process is a pre-session consultation where we can discuss the style, theme and feelings you wish your photographs to portray. We will plan the session fully to ensure you get photographs you will love for years to come. Along with examining your ideas and ultimate end goals for your photos and considering our product lines I will help you to find the perfect keepsakes of your portraits that fit your lifestyle and home and will be enjoyed for generations to come.

  • Then of course comes your session this is the time you can relax knowing all has been taken care of, sit back and enjoy the session ( Parents have been known to fall asleep during the session as it is so peaceful) With all the preparation it should run very smoothly of course. Our studio is well established and perfectly situated and furnished for our portrait needs. We have a large variety of items, collected over the years, to use during sessions so we can offer a variety of things to use.  We will work our way through all the planned sets, using pre arrange props, colours, throws, rugs and all of your personal items as well.

  • Next is the really exciting stage, just a few short days after your session, usually seven to ten, you will come back to the studio and view your beautiful portraits. You will see, touch and hold actual processed and enhanced prints from your session. Nothing compares to genuine prints!! I will also show you a slideshow from your sessions which gives a different quality to the whole experience. We will then work our way through your choice of signature products and digital file purchases and any additional items you may wish to get like birth announcement cards, grandparent albums ect,

Sessions

  • Our maternity, newborn and baby sessions are fully personalised. I work very closely with mums and dads to ensure they get the portraits of their dreams. Sessions take on average two to three hours as we work comfortably through the sets, babies are much shorter as they can only handle so much before getting sleepy. There is lots of preparation that goes on beforehand so as to have a smooth successful portrait shoot.

  • A session fee which covers the photographers time and talent as well as the assistants for the duration of the shoot, there is no time limit on sessions; we will stick with it as long as it takes or reschedule at no extra charge. The session fee is required to be paid before any inquiry is made into a booking and placed into our schedule.

  • Mini sessions are held regularly and are styled around different themes. They are held only certain offered days and have scheduled time spots which are a thirty minute duration throughout each day. You will be provided with images on disc and 6×4 inch reference prints of each image. We often offer a customised storyboard or collage print of these images as well. Some of our most popular themes are our mummy & me sessions, our Easter and Christmas baby sessions as well as our spring family sessions.

  • Every session includes image processing with enhancement or improvements as required, all the images will be processed to a high portrait standard then shown to you at your viewing appointment. You have the choice of how you would like to keep your images, we have beautiful wall art, lovely keepsake albums as well as digital files on disc and usb. We can provide birth announcement cards and other gift items as well.

Wall and Album Art

  • We understand many of us want more than a digital copy of images, while We’re happy for you to print off as many copies of your photos as you like, we can offer you high quality premium mounted wall art prints which are stunningly beautiful and completely custom designed for each client. We have a few styles of wall art and are sure we have something to suit all tastes. We also offer a variety of albums for those with limited wall space or those who prefer to have their portraiture showcased in albums rather than on their walls.

Digital Designs

  • Digital designs Collages and storyboards designs have for some time been a wonderful way of displaying more than one image. We are able to create a design to suit your portrait session and style. These are not provided as a digital image, but prepared and delivered as a finished ready to hang wall art piece. Another service we offer is greeting cards of all description to meet your needs whether that be birth announcements using images from your newborn session or family Christmas cards from our Christmas mini sessions or other concept session throughout the year.
